Under the new measures, a standard bottle of wine cannot be sold for less than €7.40 (£6.40) and a can of beer for less than €1.70 (£1.40).
In other words, prices are set to increase dramatically.
I guess we can say goodbye to the legendary Irish drinkers. At around $2 for a standard can of beer, they won't be able to afford much.
