COVID-19 Isn't A "Pandemic".

This was a pandemic:

 

There have been other actual pandemics; Woodstock was actually held in the middle of one.

“It was first noted in the United States in September 1968. The estimated number of deaths was 1 million worldwide and about 100,000 in the United States. Most excess deaths were in people 65 years and older. The H3N2 virus continues to circulate worldwide as a seasonal influenza A virus.” The pandemic, known as "Hong Kong flu, lasted until 1970.

As of May 6, 2020at least 262,238 people globally had died during the current COVID-19 outbreak. The worst pandemic in modern history, the Spanish Influenza of 1918, is estimated to have killed at least 50 million.

By contrast, the current panic and hysteria surrounding COVID being fomented by authoritarian government and the complicit lamestream media seems largely misplaced.

 

 

 

Problems, Problems

The Portland Police Bureau is shifting gears to figure out how to enforce the statewide Stay at Home order issued by Oregon Gov. Kate Brown on Monday, March 23.

Last week, before the order was issued, Portland Police Chief Jami Resch told reporters the bureau did not have any role in enforcing Brown's previous orders, such as closing restaurants and bars except for take-out food.

But the Monday order makes violating it a Class C misdemeanor, which is punishable by 30 days in jail and a $1,250 fine. That means the police now have an official role to play in enforcing it.

Lots of luck trying to figure this one out, PPB! They can probably enforce Brown's Law when it comes to businesses, but people on the streets is a whole 'nother bag of worms.

 

Martial Law In San Francisco?

San Francisco is ordering city residents to stay in their homes to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic. The shelter-in-place order will remain in effect through at least April 7. "Effective at midnight, San Francisco will require people to stay home except for essential needs," Mayor London Breed tweeted at noon Monday. "Necessary government functions & essential stores will remain open."

Officials say five other San Francisco Bay Area counties — Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda — will be issuing similar orders, affecting nearly 7 million people.

Oh yeah, you can be arrested and jailed for failure to obey, although that is currently characterized as a "last resort".

 

Rich Man, Poor Ethics

Or, perhaps I should say, no ethics.

Michael Bloomberg wants to be president of the United States yet faces little to no scrutiny. Black and brown men of New York City have been interrogated more than he has. Other candidates appear on debate stages to be questioned by the American people. Not Bloomberg. Thanks to his wealth, he can afford to sidestep this process entirely by spending millions on TV ads. Is that fair? Surely anyone who wants to be president of United States needs to be vetted.

From a speech he gave in Aspen just about five years ago:

“Put those cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods … [the] unintended consequences is people say, ‘Oh, my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true. Why? Because we put all the cops in the minority neighborhoods. Yes, that’s true. Why do we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is.” He goes on to say: “Ninety-five per cent of your murders – murderers and murder victims – fit one MO. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops.”

“And the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the wall and frisk them. [Inaudible] and then they start, they say, [inaudible] ‘Oh, I don’t want to get caught.’ So they don’t bring the gun. They still have a gun, but they leave it at home.”

And Leftists call Trump a bigot. "Stop and frisk" was Bloomie's baby.

 

If there are rakes left to step on in Kentucky, the principal at Whitefield Academy will find them. Dr. Bruce Jacobson, head of the private Christian school in Louisville, found himself at the center of a firestorm three weeks ago when he expelled a student because her mother posted a photo on Facebook of her daughter celebrating her 15th birthday with a rainbow cake.

That action was perfectly legal, in and of itself.

But Dr. Jacobson couldn’t leave it there. After the child’s mother Kimberly Alford went to the media, Jacobson released confidential information about the child’s disciplinary record and her sexual orientation to the press.

Now, that's a lawsuit.

The good doctor should have looked up the definition of the word "confidential".

 

 

Virginia Secession Issues Rise Again

Virginia – We’ve just learned that the Governor of Virginia is expected to declare a state of emergency and reportedly has riot police and the National Guard at the ready, all while a number of counties are threatening to secede. 

On Tuesday, a resolution was introduced by West Virginia (House Concurrent Resolution 8, or HCR 8), offering the Second Amendment sanctuary counties of Virginia to secede and join their State. 

West Virginia became a state during the Civil War in 1863 after seceding from the Confederate State of Virginia. The population was divided over the issues surrounding the war, and people of what is now West Virginia felt their interests were neglected, that they were underrepresented in the state government, and that they were carrying the majority of the burden of taxation. So, they became their own entity.

Enter: West Virginia’s resolution.

In part, the new resolution references the unfair tax claims between counties. It then goes on to elaborate on Virginia’s government attempting to strip its citizens of their right to bear arms.

Things are looking increasingly restive over there; that'll happen when things are run by Democratics - who thought slavery was just fine, back in the day. That's why West Virginia split off. Now Virginia Democratics want to violate the US Constitution by stripping the proles of their right to bear arms. As a result, residents of several counties are now considering another round of secessions from the state, which West Virginia is welcoming.

Some things never change, even after 156 years.

 

Kill Them All

American voters have been introduced to the idea that the elected President of the United States can be accused of "undermining" foreign policy determined by the permanent bureaucracy, which spends billions of our tax dollars but is not even slightly interested in our input. We've been told top bureaucrats who supposedly serve at the pleasure of the president are actually entitled to their jobs and firing them is a crime, with the president presumed guilty unless he can prove he had an acceptable reason for terminating or reassigning them.

Death is really the only way to stop them.

 

To Drain The Swamp...

Start by getting rid of the lifer bureaucrats. Nobody elected them, after all, and for the most part they're parasites.

These un-elected bureaucrats, the faceless horde, the Deep State, the swamp if you will, the little despots drunk with power and the ability to screw with people’s lives, have risen up. They believe they are the only legitimate government of the United States. Presidents come and go, but they are forever. They’re striking back at a president that represents what they see as the ‘peasants’, the hayseeds, the fly-over states, deplorables who dare to question their authority, competency, and legitimacy.

That's a succinct summation of the long-time "business as usual" situation, so obviously if one plans to drain the swamp, that's Ground Zero.

 

Important Police Investigation

DANBURY, CT (WFSB) — The president of a local university said hate-filled flyers were randomly distributed throughout campus on Thursday night.

Western Connecticut State University President John Clark said he is shocked and saddened about the flyers and inscriptions found on university property.

The flyers had “It’s Okay to be white” written on them, according to WCSU officials. 

An investigation is underway involving Danbury police, CT State Police, and the FBI, where surveillance footage will be reviewed.

Would “It’s Okay To Be Black” flyers be drawing a police investigation at Western Connecticut State?

How did a flyer that says only "It's Okay to be white" suddenly become "hate speech"? Apparently, that sort of thing isn't covered by the First Amendment in America any more.

Not if you're white, and especially not if you tire of being told you're evil because you're a white guy.

 

Rewriting The Constitution

NBC News published a lengthy article on the plight of poorly-run school districts, primarily in Detroit, Michigan. The article, headlined, “How a lawsuit over Detroit schools could have an ‘earth-shattering’ impact,” outlined how a court case could pave the way for education to become a constitutional right.

Nowhere in the Constitution is a Right to Education mentioned. That's not to say that education isn't desirable, but it's something that should be obtained by the individual. Especially given what passes for public education in America today, which is more appropriately described as public vegetation.
